PUBLIC POWER

Public power means commitment to community service and local people working together to meet local needs. Auburn is one of almost 2,000 not-for-profit public power systems across the United States.

The  Auburn Municipal Power Plant is capable of covering the system's peak load. The BPW purchases power from Western Area Power Administration and Nebraska Public Power District.  BPW has long-term power contracts in place to ensure reliable supply and cost based rates.
